AASLH is sad to hear of the death of Michael G. Kammen, renowned historian and husband of Carol Kammen, a prolific historian in her own right.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, two sons and three grandchildren as well as a legacy of scholarship that greatly influenced many of us who study history. His contributions were significant and he will be missed.
Cornell University has posted a wonderful tribute to Michael.
