The Small Museums Committee of AASLH is pleased to be partnering with the Connecting to Collections Online Community to present a collections management webinar!

Essential Elements of a Collections Management Policy
Tomorrow  – Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT)

Have you ever found yourself trying to protect your organization’s collections from well-meaning volunteers, board members, colleagues, or even from members of the community who don’t understand why their proposal may not be in the best interest of the collections? Join us for this hour-long webinar where instructor Bruce MacLeish will use real-life examples to demonstrate how to use a collections management policy to help make and enforce difficult decisions. In doing so, Bruce will highlight the essential elements of collections management policies.

This webinar was created in partnership with American Association for State and Local History’s Small Museum Committee.
